Position Summary

As a Communications Specialist US of Jet Aviation, you will partner with the US and global teams to develop and implement strategic internal and external communications projects and initiatives, with a particular focus on the US region. This will include corporate communications, creative storytelling campaigns internally and externally, and media relations. These will be in-line with the global communications strategy, which supports the organization’s vision, business imperatives and priorities. You will be an ambassador for the brand and effective execution of the brand by supporting with the execution of on-brand materials that support the regional and global communications strategies. This is an on-site role based out of our Teterboro location at the Teterboro Airpark. The posted salary ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline range will be as follows: $73,250 - $100,700.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2-4 years' experience in a communications role or similar

  • Excellent creative and corporate writing skills in various formats

  • Ability to work against short deadlines, manage multiple projects and maintain professionalism under pressure

  • Ability to travel to trade shows and to regional meetings if needed, travel up to 15%-20% depending on the business needs

  • Experience working as a business partner to senior leadership

  • Solution-oriented, independent thinker with a growth mindset and strong analytical skills

  • Ability to think outside the box to support and implement constantly evolving, effective communication campaigns

  • Must have good computer skills, including strong experience with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point. Experience in SharePoint, Photoshop, and HubSpot is a plus but not required

  • Command of the English language; any other languages a plus

Main Responsibilities

  • Define and implement a regional internal and external communications strategy for the US in line with global business priorities and the global communications and wider MarComm strategies

  • Support US SVP and US leadership team on all internal and external communications campaigns, including informing and updating employees in a creative and timely manner through media such as corporate information and memorandums, intranet and blog stories, regional newsletters, employee engagement communication campaigns, and the creation of supporting materials such posters, presentations etc.

  • Drive company communications in the region, including change communications, leadership messaging, and communications supporting the global story

  • Develop and implement key regional communication campaigns internally and externally that tell the global and regional story, strategy, and priorities, through high-quality content and assets that support the business across a wide range of channels

  • Manage the US content calendar and strategy for internal employee intranet and website blog, and contribute by creating engaging editorial

  • Follow the latest communications trends and suggest, develop and pilot new content formats

  • Help develop and implement lines of communication within the organization among employees

  • Support global and regional PR activities, including development of a comprehensive and updated media database, media liaison, writing media releases and external image management

  • Partner and contribute to campaigns that foster US, and are in service of the global, performance including collaborating with events, marketing and sales teams to create comprehensive and measurable communication campaigns and materials to promote Jet Aviation in US in alignment with marketing and sales priorities

  • Support Digital MarComm to ensure strategic and timely global and regional content on all digital channels, including the company website and social media channels as part of both regional and global initiatives; support the writing of content for these channels

  • Partner with US MarComm team to create a cohesive and comprehensive image library that reflect the needs of the business and tells a compelling visual story

  • Bring the Jet Aviation brand to live through a range of communications and style, and across a wide range of channels

  • Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year
